Deuce
dance | music | film
DEUCE is the return of the image in verbal space. In a deserted building
a man and a woman perform a sensual duet of damaged bodies.
DEUCE is a mixture of advances, seductions, attractions and rejections, of
loving and being loved. A double-body. Black and white fading into greys.
DEUCE is the new dance performance of Pieter de Ruiter and Eva Villanueva.
It is intense, sultry, as well as stirring and moving.
DEUCE and Lucid Terror; a dance with three single-stringed harps producing
industrial sounds, accompanied sometimes by tender, sometimes
diabolic song and rap that tends to trance, and reaches for the gothic.
DEUCE is performed and played by means of dance, strings,
song, piano and silent movie .
