STOP-MOTION
How the classical ballet-culture relates itself to the emotions, the images and icons of this time. Did ballet in the persistence of her tradition not place herself outside the dynamics of the here and now? This question Pieter de Ruiter tried to pin-point in his new choreography Stop-Motion.
In this dance-evening, that premiered on the 31st of July 2002 during the Festival Karavaan in Den Helder, three generations of classical trained dancers are confronted with outings of now-a-days culture.
Stop-Motion is a multi-medial performance were extrems are merged; live- music from the rap-trance formation Lucid Terror and video from Rene Hazekamp.
